San Francisco 4th of July fireworks photos, 2011 edition

I love watching fireworks shows, and enjoying taking pictures of them even more! Last night I went out to my usual spot to watch the big, $100k+ show that is put on in San Francisco. Here are the photos for your enjoyment!movie The Drop download

Star Tours 2 preview photos

I was one of the lucky annual passholders who “won” the opportunity to ride Star Tours 2 (that’s what I’m calling it) prior to its official opening. I chose every possible date/time, so the odds of winning were pretty high!

Anyhow, I got five rides in over 4 hours, and got to experience virtually all of the variations.  When you get the best combination of sequences, the ride is fantastic. There are some weaker sequences, like pod racing on Tatooine or driving through traffic on Coruscant.  The best sequence, in my opinion, would be Darth Vadar beginning + Hoth middle + Naboo or Death Star ending.

And now, the photos:

Big Island 2011: Everything else

Rounding out my trip photos are those that didn’t fit in anywhere else. These were taken in various places around the island, mostly on the Hilo side.  Hope you enjoyed these galleries!

Big Island 2011: Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

One of the days during my trip was spent taking the long drive to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. I explored Kilauea — which has no lava flowing at the moment — and also took a guided hike of a rainforest on the slopes of Mauna Loa.Watch movie online The Transporter Refueled (2015)

Big Island 2011: Kealakekua Bay

One of the mornings on my trip I took a catamaran ride to lovely Kealakekua Bay, which is a 45 minute “sail” from Keauhou Bay (south of Kona). The water was crystal clear and I saw some pretty cool fish!
