  • Marsh Creek Trail, part 1

Posted on April 30th, 2004 Jeff Keller 5 comments

A few weeks ago I mentioned a walk I took on the Marsh Creek Trail, which runs from Brentwood to the delta. Today I took a 90 minute walk on the northern portion and have some pictures to share. I’ll do the same for the central portion soon.

The paved trail follows Marsh Creek

    It’s lined with wildflowers

And wildlife like this Blue Heron (I think). There are a lot of little waterfalls like this one

There’s a lot of development but there is still a lot of open space to enjoy

I saw this guy hanging out near a bridge over the creek. I was amazed that he let me get this close.

Finally I made it to Big Break and the San Joaquin River.

    • ‘Kay, so I bought a camera. Thank you very much for your assistance. Your web site was the best I came across. With all the money I saved, I’ll make a donation. But you’ll have to wait until I get my WDW trip paid off. There’s a really low per-day limit on my debit card, so it’s going to take a few days.
      P.S. Pic’s are gorgeous, btw.

    • Aren’t you going to tell me what you bought?

    • It took me a while to decide between the Minolta DiMAGE A1 and the Nikon Coolpix 8700. In the end, I chose something totally different: the Canon PowerShot A75. AA batteries and a compact design won out. I already ordered two sets of NiMH batteries (and a charger)and a 256MB CF card. I’ll be testing them all out in about 6 weeks at WDW. I’ll let you know how Mission: Space is. Let me know about ToT at DCA, ‘kay?
      Thanks again!!

    • Ahh, the A75… good choice.

    • I hope so. It was cheaper to by it on-line with over night FedEx vs. it was to buy it at the store by like $60. Hopefully, I’ll have it tomorrow or Weds. at the latest. And, yes, I used your pricegrabber link.
