For those who have been following my health soap opera, my Upper GI test from last week was normal.

I went up to the top of Mount Diablo today with the hope of finding my house from 3800 feet up. And I did, sort of — it’s blocked by the big houses on both sides of me. For some pictures from the summit, click the link below.

  • Keyboard problems resolved (after some pain and suffering)

In our last episode, Jeff spilled milk from his cereal into his very nice Apple keyboard, rendering it nearly useless. A bath in distilled water followed by 36 hours in the hot sun helped for a while, then the keyboard died again.
Today I’m a happy camper again. Thanks to a tip about my Belkin KVM and a very helpful Apple Specialist at CompUSA, I got a new Apple keyboard which works on both my Mac and PC — better than the old one!
The PC keyboard I was using for a while was awful, so I’m a happy camper again.

This morning while eating cereal at my desk I managed to drip some milk onto my keyboard. Little did I know that this would be the end of my $50 Apple keyboard. Sure enough, the keyboard got worse as the day went on until it died.
I’m using my PC’s keyboard in the meantime.. anyone know how to bring that good old keyboard back to life?
Update: My keyboard took a bath in distilled water this afternoon, and now it’s drying in the 90 degree heat. For a number of reasons I want this keyboard to come back to life. You can’t buy another one as it’s last year’s model and the replacement will not work with my KVM.

Back in April I did a photo tour of the northern part of this trail, which goes from Brentwood to the Delta. Today I’ve got a look at the central section… check it out.
